Went rambling today for about 3 hrs. Found no edibles but some wild greens. But Damn it felt good to get out in the woods. About 61 today.

Ticks are out.

Lady Go Go, my Lab had more fun than I did.

Got some pics, but I've been about 50/50 In posting pics lately. I'll get em here eventually.

Well I tried to upload several pics...But could only upload this Handsome selfie.

I've killed 2 bucks in that overgrown clear cut with the old logging road running down the middle of it.

Enjoyed the pics. No spot reports given?

I need to get back out as well. See if any turkeys are moving about on my cameras. Season starts in a few days up here.

I saw plenty of Turkey scratching. Made sure to get in the woods after 1PM, turkey hunters gotta be out of the woods by then.

Got that Cypess wood at the Gator Lounge.

I went scouting for turkeys yesterday morning. Saw a few hens didn't hear too many gobbling.

Found a possum in a trap, season has been closed since Feb 15th. Sent pictures to the Warden and he released the possum. No tag on the trap. Idiots are everywhere.

Tuesday is our opener, taking my daughter out, with luck she'll make it back to school in time, so she can play in her softball game.

Looks like Forestboy has been asleep at the switch. Good on the cop for getting in there and going hands on.

^^^ And the officer actually said "I was telling my wife, I'm just wired differently than most people, I think," he said. "I run toward danger."

I got a laugh outta that.

Coyotes have become a real issue around here in recent years, seems like they snatch a dog once a month nowadays.

That incident was 10 minutes up the road from me.

Lola and I will keep our heads on a swivel moving forward.

Went Saturday morning....calm winds, temp mid 50s. Heard one gobble at about 600 yards out.....then one gunshot

I did flush a covey a quail and about crapped my pants....great morning to take a stroll in the woods!

Quail are about as plentiful as honest politicians up here. Still have a few grouse though.
