Fuck Yeah! That's a definite smoker for sure--damn good job. I'm done until Saturday, just milling the outer fringes of bottom swamps and thickets, trying to seek out something big to drop.

Check out this Wisconsin buck. Damn that's a big deer.

Buck season opens here Monday. There will be killing. Blood will spill.

If you wouldn't shoot that buck you must belong to PETA. He's made lots of babies already.

Tomorrow am there will be a militia of nearly 200,000 in the woods with high powered rifles.

The annual/traditional buck firearms season opens for 2 weeks. Everyone takes vacation days, school is closed all week. The state shuts down and goes hunting.

If you're happening to be travelling through WV. Stay in your vehicle. Dont get out and take a piss on side of the road. Especially, dont cough and scratch your head at the same time. Wear lots of orange.

You have been warned.

Wearing a ghillie suit would mean potential Sasquatch. Equals = potential rich hillbilly. Not a good idead.

They do mysteriously seem to hide well during deer season though. Ain't seen the first one.

I have a gun tag, but no time to hunt yet. The cheeseheads are all in the woods this week. I have seen very few deer at the bars, (the new regs for the last few years allow one to register deer online, bars are unhappy bigtime about this) Really wet fall, lazy farmers waiting for just the right price on corn and still much of the corn is standing , making hunting that much tougher right now.....imho

Took my son pheasant hunting for the first time. Hired a guy to run dogs for us. Both of us bagged out in an hour and a half. Couldn't have gone better! I had forgotten how nice it is just to walk in the woods with people you love. Son was so nervous to miss but he followed my advice and just kept his eyes on the bird. I was so proud when he put both his birds down in 1 shot each (and he thought my 20ga (rem 1100) was too little, son it's perfect for upland). But now I have to clean my ancient A5 as I needed to shoot get my birds too but still worth it. I was glad not to have missed mine or my wife would have never let me hear the end of it as my son would have ratted me out.

I'm taking the dogs out when I get home in January. The Lab on ducks first, then to the woods for some winter grouse hunting with my Llewellyn. She'll be two the day I get home. We killed some put and take birds last fall and also some woodcock.
