Mary Queen of Scots

Basically Meh.

I understand suspension of disbelief, but never understood the need to take a compelling series of historical events and changing them around to create a supposedly better story. None of the changes that were made in the adaptation for this movie made it better IMO. Having said that and given the way this was directed and acted I doubt historical accuracy would have made it better either. It just wasn't all that good.

I'm glad I only paid for the matinee but wish I had waited until it was on TV.

Yeah, it was disappointing, to say the least. The 1971 version with Vanessa Redgrave, Glenda Jackson and Patrick McGoohan was infinitely better...

Dammit, that bums me out, it's a great story in real life. I felt exactly the same way about The Revenant. They completely twisted the Hugh Glass story for no good reason. Guess I'm waiting for HBO on this one.
