Is it as good as The Vikings?

Looking at the synopsis for the show, I see that they both take place about the same time frame, more or less.

It's very different from Vikings and in my opinion better although that comes down to individual taste. I've read all the books, they're great and while the show is slightly different I like it a lot.

Looks like one to check out, although with all the other shows in my "docket" that I watch, it might have to go on the back burner.

Watched the season 3 last nigh, or however many episodes it was. Wife was hooked, that the longest I've seen her sit down since the last binge watch early this yr. I racked out at 2300.

We love it, however, after a few "beverages" and chow, I fell asleep for some of the ep's.

Very well done series. Now, I have to catch up... The wife stayed up till who knows when. (She's not up now) lolol

I have to concur. Vikings has been okay since Ragnar left - maybe didn't lose me as much as I thought I thought it might. Ragnar was maybe more captivating as a character per se. But The Last Kingdom is a better show in my opinion, and it didn't require a lot of sex scenes (not that there's anything wrong with that ...)

We just finished season 3 and I think it was the best season. They did a great job with character development and there were some excellent scenes between Uhtred and King Alfred. I also watch Vikings but think this show is much better.
