That is a great movie. I watch it every year or two, along with another favorite, The Wild Geese. Which I may have to watch again now.

Odd Angry Shot reminded me of a couple of other Aussie productions, not sure if they count as movies we forgot or movies most people have never heard of, but worth watching if you like that sort of thing:

The Lighthorsemen
Gallipoli
Breaker Morant

Actually Laos. Stars gene Hackman, Patrick swayze and Fred Ward.

Some other great scenes:

An eerie beginning - which had a powerful impact on a 16 year old boy watching it on the big screen.

This movie solidified me wanting to join the military and also getting over to Southeast Asia. sentimental and a major impact on my life.

City of Joy. Staring Patrick Swayze.

The Razors Edge. Starting Bill Murray
(In one of his few serious roles)

The Mission. Staring Robert De Niro

Three often overlooked and forgotten movies that were masterpieces in my opinion.

Gumball Rally. If you are a car guy. Cannonball Run was definitely a bigger movie due to many things, but Gumball was real good, fantastic driving, cars etc.

A short derail, Drive-in movies are almost a thing of the past.

Any time you could pile the kids (to include the neighbor's) into a station wagon and not spend over 5 bucks equaled a great movie, no matter if you were able to watch or not.

I have very fond memories of fogged up windows and listening to sounds coming from a crappy speaker hanging off the window.

Virginia still has more drive-in movie theatres in operation than any other state, there's one down the road from me and I still go a few times a year--always nice kicking back, puffing a butt while sipping a beverage of choice...

Drive-in, camping, fishing meet-up. I’m in. All other things are neither implied nor intended. :D
