Only eat fruit and vegetables that can be peeled. Only drink bottled water.


Whilst much of the food not not make the locals ill, Westerner's have different bacteria in our guts and hence, Delhi Belly!

When asking any time to distance, you will be told "10 more minutes". It has no significance to reality.

There's no such thing as "medium or mild spicy"

Northern cuisine tends to be more spicy. Southern cuisine, more coconut based.

The key to enjoying India (for me), was not to compare it to what is "normal" in my environment, but rather to accept and embrace India for what it is. It is an incredible place with some incredible people.
