SSG Moore was my squad leader (C-1-1) when I hit battalion in '83. He was indeed 'hard as woodpecker lips' as somebody has already said.

I had many friends or folks I knew on that mission. Late to post to it but RIP fellers.

I'm honored to know a couple of Rangers who distinguished themselves that night as well.
