Very typical in LE. After 9/11 and the anthrax scare, we were getting dozens of anthrax calls a day. I started using my portable breathalyzer as an anthrax detector, showing people that they were safe.

There are initial reports of another explosion in Austin a few minutes ago in a residential neighborhood about 5 miles WSW of downtown. This shit needs to stop yesterday.

They're going to catch this fucker, prosecute him at the state level and frying him.

News says this one was set with a trip wire, the others were set when opened yea?
Wonder if this asshole is demonstrating his "proficiency" with various methods to show off, next we'll see cell remote detonation, maybe some type of wireless setup...

One article said there were something like 500 feds working this. No way this lunatic will get away with this for very long, not if he stays in that area.

If we're lucky they'll have the opportunity to blow his head off making the arrest, and bypass the publicity and mayhem of a trial.

It would be great to get a confession/rant from him though. Or a solid manifesto, in order to quell the conspiracy theories.

Lets hope he doesn't reach 'Weather Underground' numbers, they beat Kaczynski by about 10. In todays Twitterverse camera-in-your-pocket society, I can't see this douche not being spotted fast. Everyone in Austin should be one big neighborhood watch by now?

Days of Rage by Burroughs delves heavily into the forgotten intensity of the 70s "bomb craze" by communist & marxist groups around the country.

A manufacturing mistake would be nice! I'm just hoping it's not another vet. If so let it be a marine this time...

The plot thickens...multiple reports of a package having exploded at a FedEx facility in Schertz, TX. If this is accurate, mixed with the report that yesterday's IED was victim actuated, perhaps somebody is mailing pre-constructed IEDs to an individual in Austin...who is then placing them. Hopefully they can track the origin of the package and pull CCTV to ID who sent it.

MAJOR INCIDENT SCHERTZ TEXAS AREA. This is what we have gathered unofficially: Shortly after 12 midnight, a package destined for Austin, Tx detonated at the FedEx distribution facility located at 9935 Doerr Lane. The package was said to have contained nails and shrapnel.

Or he's employing deception... FedEx drop boxes all over the place, have to get lucky that it was one in view of a camera in someone's business.

Cant be a Marine, Marines leave clues like MRE trash, and empty cans of dip and monster.

Let's knock off the interservice banter. Hopefully the cops will run this fuckwad down post haste and he will not be a vet of any sort.

It's very hopefully not a vet of any sort.

It's been over a week since the second bomb. There hasn't been any mention by authorities about what type of explosive was used or anything technical revealed other than the tripwire from fishing line. I know that it's not wise to give blueprints so copycats can use the design, but there usually has been details like that in the past soon after analysis. Is a week too soon to know? The public could be on the lookout for someone purchasing certain chemicals or triggering devices? I don't know, it seems like details are slow to come out.

Thinking that the bomber has great skills is probably wrong.
