While some may disagree with his decision to be there entirely, or his choice to provide medical aid to those in the Syrian conflict, I have to admire and respect his dedication to his beliefs that brought him there. I doubt anyone can argue that he didn’t know the risks. We’ve all willingly or eagerly put ourselves in similar circumstances and environments, even if our actions on the ground were different.

May the deadly strike on those involved in his murder bring some comfort to his family and loved ones.
