Investigators in Jack Yantis Shooting Skeptical

http://www.idahostatesman.com/news/l...104837711.html

The original story was in the misconduct thread. Everyone around here knows this shooting was more fucked up than a football bat. Apparently even the investigators.

Instead of having feds chase victimless crimes it'll be nice when they provide investigation and oversight into these types of situations.

Officer shootings must be investigated by an agency that is not their own and lying in reports should be prosecuted.

Unions will never stand for any improvement and officers sure don't want any change...so cleansing the murderers and scum is still 10-20 years out.

While I agree with investigation by outside agency, the feds aren't the people to do it. Centralization, especially in a nation as large as the US, is a bad idea WRT a lot of issues, such as responsiveness. Consolidation at the Fed level is a significant factor in why we're where we're at as a nation. It's hard enough to have influence on some agency who's boss is down the street, let alone some ppl 3000 miles away. S/F.....Ken M
