I get FPC emails - yesterday they reported that the president had discussions with the NZ prime minister at some UN Summit BS, about government "buy-backs" (AKA tax payer money used to pay $0.05 on the dollar for something they never owned in the first place - mostly broken stock .22s and dead grandpas duck gun).

Keep hounding.

I would love to know the actual sourcing on that information.

With all the craziness in the world I doubt that President Trump spent any of his time at UNGA this week on this issue as he has much bigger fish to fry.

Surprisingly perhaps, the Prime Minister said that an unprompted conversation around the New Zealand guns laws and buyback scheme was a big part of "the pull aside". "It was a conversation around our buyback and the work we'd done to remove military-style semi-automatics weapons and assault rifles."

"So we had a conversation around what happened in New Zealand, how it worked," Ardern said.

"I referenced the fact that, actually, Australia had gone through a similar process and we really learned from that. So it was really just sharing our experience, which obviously is pretty unique."

When asked if she sensed any Trumpian appetite for gun reform, the Prime Minister said that she sensed his interest in the subject, rather than ideas for law changes.

No prob. In addition to Australia's booming black market Sub-machine Gun mfg business, Oz gun control works! They are a model to be replicated.

I'm not sure the POTUS isn't getting the 411 on how this fails... Then he can, with a straight face, say "This Beto plan has not worked anywhere..."

Additionally, ALL we have is the reporting of the NZ douche's version of the discussion. Could be very different from the truth...

I think, since this was a head-of-state to POTUS talk, we need the transcript of it - or impeachment...

I submit that POTUS could have had the conversation with NZ leadership so he can say that he had it and little more.

Well, how often do we engage with douchenozzles on a daily basis... doesn't mean we agree with them.

I wonder how many "2A Liberals" and "LiberalGunOwners" are STILL going to vote for the current crop of out-loud-and proud gun grabbers just because they hate Trump?

And I know quite a few conservatives who really dislike Trump but are going to vote for him because "Socialism." We all have choices we don't always 100% agree with because there's more than one issue we care about.

The most powerful military on earth couldn't tame a few million goat fuckers in 18 years, do you really think they can disarm 100+ million pissed off armed American's, many of them veterans? Not gonna happen. A gun grab in the US will make the Syrian civil war look like an Amish bake sale. I'm not hoping for it, but I think that is what will happen.

***Devil's advocate post***

I had a longer post typed, but for brevity I'll cut it down: You honestly believe any unfolding hypothetical situation between gun owners and the USAô would resemble what occurred in those two places? Because I gotta say, I see almost nothing which would be even remotely the same except for a few superficial platitudes. Not the belligerent forces. Not the battle space (all of them). Not even the climate and culture or motivations for fighting. Closest similarity I can see is the IRA vs Brits during "The Troubles".

Exactly what I'm thinking, and the attention-seeking muppet PM used that conversation to get her name in the headlines again to feel relevant.

I bet that President Trump's eventual public reveal of proposed gun laws will contain a one-liner such as "New Zealand tried a mandatory buy-back program and they assess it has been 1% effective. I know this as I spoke with their senior leadership myself."

This thread is about gun control, not random issues like some chick who may or may not have wanted to use pipe bombs.

Stay on topic

Saturday, Nov *2nd* - Washington, DC:

2nd Amendment Rally

http://www.2ndamendmentrally.com/

If every 2A supporter within a reasonable driving distance (2 Hours or less?) attends - it will shut down DC.

Spread the word. Join GOA. Join FPC.

USSC will hear a landmark 2A case on Dec 2nd:

https://www.scotusblog.com/case-file...york-new-york/

NYC just lost a motion to have the case considered moot (because they changed the law to avoid a decision by the court) - they know a loss for them will have a HUGE impact on 2A rights. The legal beagel's are saying this is in McDonald and Heller territory.

Unfortunately brother they don't need to go door to door. They'll simply say turn them in or if you're found with them you will go to jail/pay exhorbitant fine. Thus, everybody will bury them in their back yard and never bring them out to use them again for fear of the penalties. Either way, people won't be shooting them at the range, at coyotes, etc, etc, etc.
