Toughpad or Tab Active?

I'm in the market for a tablet that will work outdoors and can easily be seen and be able to be read outdoors.

IP65 and Mil Std. 810 are both in consideration.

I'm leaning towards a Panasonic Tough pad or a Samsung Tab Active.

looking for folks that have experience with either or have a better suggestion.

#budgetsmatter
TIA.

Have you considered just getting an otter box for a standard tablet? I used one daily for five years with just a regular Samsung tablet. Guys I work with have them for Ipads and they work fine. I used mine in weather ranging from the negatives to over 100 and in complete down pours of coastal PNW rain.

Juniper Systems makes a model that is popular in my profession, but the cost is pretty high IMO.

In my previous role I used a standard IPad mini in a life proof case. Easy to use and read in direct sunlight. Will survive being run over by Ford Territory, don't ask me how I know....

Nope. Just need comparisons of the two mentioned or other ones I hadn't tried.

I tried a Samsung Tab A (not active), and a mac iPad, and found both lacking for readability in sunlight. I need to be able to see and read easily.
I could read on both, but had to strain to discern. Thats a no go.

Adding a cover or case will only worsen their limited nits.

Thanks.
