My son is on his way to Texas tonight to go to a wake or funeral. One of the guys he use to be stationed at Hood with checked out the other day. From what I have been told, He went to one of the VAMCs in Texas and they refused to see him because of the COVID thing. He went back to his vehicle and checked out for good. Son took it hard. I think that is the 3rd person that he worked with out there that has done this.

Tactical Parking or Dude Where's My Car 2

On my 58th B'day,28th Sept, last year, I took an od of 90 x 60 mg codeine phos at midnight.
My wife of 25 years came home at 0730 hrs and found me unresponsive.
She administered CPR.
I spent 3 days in ICU and 3 wks in the nut house.
I stopped drinking alcohol.
Last week to this day she begged me to let her drive home after work. About 100 km over the Kaimai Range. To those not conversant with NZ it's a small hill with roads designed and built by fucking idiots.
Whilst "overtaking" a logging truck she pulled in too quickly, hit the truck, span off and went over the edge of a ravine.
The car stopped about 50 metres down due to a punga, a native tree fern.
A couple of passersby pulled her out as she was upside but left me as the car was unstable, lol.
Looking out my "non existent" window, I realised that the vehicle had a fair way to go.
Sorry another lol.
FD, EMT and LE turned up about 45 mins later, stabilised the vehicle and got me out.
Sorry to ramble on, my two heroes are Robert E Lee and Ernest Shackleton, humble heroes.
My thanks to all you EMT guys out there.
God Bless.
Safe,
M
Sorry for the delay, finally got out to snap a photo!
