PM's not being sent.

My PM's are not being sent. I can post on threads, I can start a thread (such as this one) but no PM replies all of a sudden. Any ideas on what the issue may be?

TIA

Do you have the "save a copy of this message in your sent items folder" checked?

I had unchecked mine once and it looked like mine weren't going.

Thank you KidA, I checked it, and also tried to reply to FatGuy's PM, still looks like they are not going out.

I was using Windows Vista in the past, now on 8.1. Could that be the issue? I am having zero problems with other forums since the switch, only this one but only with PM's.

Tony

1. Fire up Chrome.

2. Nav to user settings, on left menu, select "Send New Message."

3. The URL on your browser should be along the lines of: http://socnet.com/private.php?do=newpm

4. Enter yourself as the recipient

5. Enter "Test Title" in title.

6. Enter "Test Body" in body. Don't send the PM yet.

7. In top right of Chrome next to address bar, you'll see a button with 3 horizontal lines. Click on it.

8. Select "More Tools."

9. Select "Developer Tools." A console box will open at the bottom of the browser.

10. The console box will have options: "Elements / Network / Sources..." Select Network.

11. Send the PM to yourself using the Submit Message button.

12. A bunch of crap will appear in the console. The first item should be something like "http://socnet.com/private.php?do=insertpm&pmid=" Click on it.

13. In the right pane that appears, select Headers up top.

14. Scroll down until you see "Form Data." You'll see Recipient, BCC, Title, and Body fields.

Do you see the test data you entered in there?

Not on Chrome, but thanks for the step by step MountainBum. FatGuy has also been helping. It looks like my PM's have been going out, but a copy is not being sent to me so I know it is for some reason. I have checked the box as indicated by KidA, it still doesn't show up.

Only 4 messages in my cache DarkHelmet.

As long as the messages are going out, I'm good with that. Thank you for the help gents. This thread can be closed.
