13 Hours

I won't get into the political BS surrounding the event but the movie is well worth the price of admission.

I saw the commercial last night and it said "Opening Tonight" I thought it was today. I may go catch a matinee later today, if available.

I just saw it. It was very well done and it was done with great respect for those who were killed. I hope the names Ty Woods and Glen Doherty are remembered as heroes and never forgotten.

Went and saw it as well. Worth seeing. Usual hollywoodist stuff, but overall well done. S/F....Ken M

I agree. It was very well done. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen.

Just went and saw it with my son. Great flick - see it on the big screen. A couple of things had me scratching my head though....

1) When the group arrives from Tripoli it had a couple Army SMU guys. At the annex all you see of them is when they "have orders to ensure destruction of classified material". With as bad as the situation was, why wouldn't they have left that to the OGA staff and been up on the roof tops helping with the fight?

2) After the first assault on the annex why in the hell are they still observing any type of ROE? Especially when they can see them grouping for another assault.

Small things - but kind of had me wondering.

^It is a movie, not a documentary.

WTF?! You mean that wasn't actual drone footage?

Yes, Hollyweird always take liberties. But if it was based on the book, and I saw that some of the guys were actually on set to ensure story accuracy during filming, I guess I was kind of ASSuming that it was pretty factual. The "Delta" guys were rather prominently brought into the storyline - and I was just surprised that they didn't get more involved. Not second guessing anything by any means, those cats went through some shit for sure and killed truckloads of shitheads, it just struck me as odd.

So there

I thought it was pretty well done. It was worth it for my first trip to the theater in a year.

13 Hours

I, too, saw this movie this afternoon. Neither my son nor my wife were interested. At first, it sort of seemed weird going to a movie by myself, but then the movie started and I forgot all about that. I liked the movie. I suspect that Mrs. Clinton doesn't like the movie.

Watching the movie and seeing the available assets to help/rescue the besieged Americans, my dislike of Hillary went to full hate mode. How can anybody vote for her.

The 2 delta force potrayal, they look like the Hillbillies from WWE. They also look like the locals hunting down national guardsmen in 70's/80's movie(forgot the title). And i assumed that those 2 delta force, one of them was the Marine that was awarded the silver star.

Based on the feedback here, looking forward to seeing this movie when I have a chance

I thought the exact same thing.

I caught the midnight show to avoid the riff raff; well done movie imo.

Hopefully will have time to see the movie this weekend.

I thought the SMU SM's were awarded DSC and NC for their actions.

I wasn't surprised by how Delta looked there, although it sure did jump out all right. I have the general impression that Delta types tend to assume the grooming habits of the people they're fighting, so as to blend in as much as possible.

You are correct, DSC not silver star.
