Wow. That is hot!
...any of you old scroll 2/75 studs have a copy of the newspaper article when George Conrad and the studs did the pregame demo in the stadium?

My recollection; it wasn't pretty...

Very cool! I think the 1SG has radar locked on one of those cheerleaders.

Funny that you can see just from the random pictures that they are "different" from anywhere else in the Army. Everything from the way they wear a beret, to the look in their eyes. Hard men. I am lucky to have been able to train and deploy with them quite a bit over the past ten years. They are so much more advanced than what we were in the 80s and 90s, its like a different world.

Always loved getting work with Rangers. Just professionals. Hard earned break, I know those boys enjoyed it.

You betcha. A long way from khakis & spit shinned jump boots. Different haircuts. Newer technologies. But the same heart & motivation.

So honorable to see all the combat decorations on these young studs....

Paid for in blood, yet few appreciate what they have seen.....

Is the Army still paying the NFL for such appearances?

That's not right...
I would think it would be the other way around.

You would think so, but you would be wrong.

Sad. I just got a pm from a guest user with a Bloomberg article about it.

Many times over the recent years we received emails or flyers at work about free tickets to various events, provided the SM went in uniform and took part in a halftime "Salute To The Troops" or some other coordinated, patriotic display.

I was never aware that this was paid advertising, and I don't think anyone in my chain of command going several levels up knew, either. Would not be surprised if no one in USSOCOM knew. Not too pleased when the truth came out...
