When I was at the advanced sniper course in Quantico, circa 1993 we had a gathering at the little NCO club there at WTBN every Thursday night. We'd bring in a guest speaker, usually a Viet Nam era sniper. COL Fox was our speaker one night. Very frank, honest, motivational speaker. It was an honor to be in his presence and hear of many of his exploits first hand.

It was an honor to meet him a few times over the past years. He would speak at some of the local functions and did a lot for the Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets. I dive by his house a few times every week and it always has the American and Marine flags flying on top of a hill. Every time I pass it I think "A Great Man Lives There". I would tell people his story and point out his house but I do not think people that have not served understands how brave a man lived there.
RIP Col Fox.

RIP COL. I was fortunate to meet him on several occasions, and benefit from his experience and humility.
