SWAT team - SAS insignia

Saw someone wearing a shirt with this insigina in central California this weekend. This might be opsec, but I was wondering if US SWAT teams are cross training with SAS (I have heard of them supporting teams out of Europe many moons ago), which the winged dagger seems to hint at?
Thank you!

Just SWAT bubbas copying cool insignias. Skulls/daggers/tridents/lightning bolts/clumsy Latin phrases/arrows/tridents make any tactical teams into operators.

That makes sense, I guess. Just wasn't expecting a 1:1 facsimile. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you.

That's why I like my department's SWAT patch.

It says, SWAT.

Go figure. They are just good ole LEO's with another job and they are pretty good, IMO!

Wish they would come up with their own unit insignia rather than cutting-and-pasting another's...

Pretty sure my hometown PD's SWAT team (Salisbury, NC) sports this insignia. Or at least they used to.

Kinda prefer my old Team's insignia (on the mag well of my SBR). Original and professional (yet hard to tell from my crappy pic).

How's a guy supposed to be a warrior without the appropriate accoutrements?

In the 80s, a lot of teams adopted it including ours. Within a few yrs we drew up our own. That's why they are out there I believe.

A lot of SWAT people up this way have some variation of this.

I believe NHSP had adopted a SF patch of some type. It was brought to their attention and corrected it.

One of our guys was sporting a Craft Industries skull, another was rocking an infidel patch. No place in Law Enforcement for that. Not a fan of the “us vs them” mentally in LE, doesn’t help one bit with all the BS press our profession is getting these days.
