Battle of Zarga January 2007

Wondering if anyone was involved in the battle of Zarge, near Najaf Iraq, Jan 2007. I know there was an ODA we (2-3 IN Stryker) relieved for the night. Iíve seen some great leadership, but those exempted by that ODA Capt were impressive. The night was long. It was a great example of soldiers transitioning from a free fire zone to providing medical care for noncombatant and combatant alike.

Anyway, hats off to those involved! It was an incredible, unforgettable experience for a young enlisted Infantryman.

2-3 IN, First to fight!
