256, your teammate will be in my thoughts.

Ref doing it another way, I think doing that discussion in another thread would be more respectful.

Thank you for all of your kind words. I got to visit with him for about 15 minutes today, he's in good spirits and fighting like a mad-man.

We did some stuff the other day (Elyria) and JR sent out texts to everyone. Seems to be having some real good forward progress.

Gentlemen, JR is recovering and in the near future he will be returning home. If anyone is local or if you’re not and you’re interested we are going to do an escort from the hospital to the PD for him. Hoping to get enough support to line the streets as he returns home. He’ll be leaving Cleveland Metro to go to his PD (Amherst PD) and someone will take him from their.

We are not telling him but we are getting recommendations from his doctors, ensuring we cover all the basics for his care. If anyone has resources or contacts in that area please let me know.

Happy to hear he will be on that road to recovery.

Where was the impact point of 12ga slug?
Was his tac armor effective in keeping him alive, or not a factor considering where he was hit.
Did the slug penetrate the door?, wall?, adjacent window?, from inside the structure?

Again- very glad he is ok.
Pete

Thank you for the kind words.

Unfortunately, the event is still under investigation so I’m not going to give anymore details. Once the invest in complete I’d be more than willing to give out all the information of what went wrong so people can learn from it.

Sounds like you are seeking assistance here? If so can you post some details or offer them via PM?

I found out tonight that JR is leaving to go home much earlier (Tuesday) than we thought. It’s been an ever changing situation due to Worker’s Compensation issues and JR’s treatment plans. The family wants a very small escort home involving the team and Amherst PD. I apologize for the confusion, I was trying to get a head of the curb and plan as early as possible.

JR is home. He had about 60 Lorain country LE vehicles to take him all the way to Amherst PD. Thank you for you well wishes.
