You know, I used to like Chuck Norris, (even met him at a kickbox competion once), but since these "Missing Action" movies started, I don't have much use for him. For that type action, Steven Seagal (sp) has it beat. (I just like the bone crunching stuff).

Aw, come on. There's nothing like sitting around with your Dad counting how many times Chuck Norris broke someones' neck in MIA 3. Ahh, now that's good father-son bonding.

Pauly Shore's "In the Army now"...

"Drop! And Give me 20!!!!"

"All I've got is a $20 but you can have it..."

Sgt. Bilko was pretty funny...

Two of the best "seriouse" military flicks:

Full Metal Jacket & Platoon

Best actor to play an an officer was Burt Reynolds in Canon Ball Run (1?2?3?) when he played a General on an OPSEC mission with Dom Delauise as his driver (Pvt.) (They even had Gommer with them for a while... :D

I think I remember the DUKE hopping out the door w/o hookin up - He was one tough MOFO! I always wore my beret just like him, despite all the high speeds peer pressure.

Dirty Dozen and FMJ - Best for me!
Rangers - SUCKED! that was the f*cking stupidest movie I ever saw!

What was the movie: WW2 in an Italian concentration camp, some pilot leads a group of troops in an escape. Gets shot just as he's running for the train in the end... Loved that movie, but can't remember for the life of me what it's name was...

Nobody's mentioned Steve McQueen in The Great Escape, or Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin in You're In The Army Now...

Dr. Strangelove isn't your classic, typical war movie but had some great scenes/lines.
Slim Pickens riding the H-bomb like a rodeo bull

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War room"

Peter Sellers trying to break open the soda machine to get change to call the President and stop world destruction. Keenen Wynn telling him "....you're gonna have to answer to Coca-Cola for that."

I think that movie is "Von Ryan's Express", with Frank Sinatra that's running for the train at the end.

While we're on the topic: a couple of my favourite war movies are Lawrence of Arabia, Apocalypse Now Redux, Platoon, and Full Metal Jacket.

84 CharlieMopic has probably the best on-film hasty ambush ever.

Kelly's Heroes "There's 10 million in gold bullion in that bank. All you have to do is spin that tank around" Kaboom.

Worst - GI Jane

Cheers,

Patrick LaRocque

You know, GI Jane isn't such a bad flick if you turn the mute on and just watch Demi's wonderfully enhanced pneumatic...uh, nevermind.
