Thumbs up Narcos

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2707408/

If you have Netflix and your aren't already watching this, choke yourself!

Seriously, this production is up there with "House of Cards" (not quite as slick but very, very good).

Basically the story of a DEA Agent and the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar.

8 out of 10.

Netflix series is great so far. Book by Mark Bowden: Killing Pablo goes into great detail about the hunt for this guy.

Are they going to finish it up in a second season?
The part they left off on seems like too little for another full season, feels like 1 or 2 more episodes would have completed his story.

Was really looking forward to the scene of him on the mountain burning 2 mil in cash to keep his daughter warm...

I would think it would be hard to get an entire second season out of whats left of the story of Pablo...

maybe they move on to the next story? Cali and he Rodriguez brothers?

Thumbs up

I'm in.

Match's recommendation... plus, I just saw it has Wagner Moura playing Pablo Escobar.

He played the lead in the Brazilian film Elite Squad (Tropa de Elite) which, despite its corny title, is an amazing fucking film that I think almost every SOCNET member would love.
Not the sequel... the first one

The show is absolutely addictive and part of it is Moura's excellent acting.

Not to derail but ES2 was the highest grossing latin American movie ever made and I thought it was that good. The first one is slower and obviously had a much smaller budget but also excellent.

ES2 is on netflix as well. Too bad the first one isn't.
If I see the second one first, will it spoil the first one for me later if/when I get a chance?

I'm on episode 4 right now. This show is classic. Though I did see a copier in one scene that looked very 2015. Lol.

Not to mention the ACOG scopes and Picatinny Rail systems on some of those weapons the Colombians were carrying in the mid 80's
As you can see in the screen capture below, they were more highspeed than we thought
