There's a thread for Elite Squad. It was an awesome flick. The sequel was good too.

I thought Wagner Moura was great in this series. It has to be tough knowing you are taking a role knowing you're going to get killed off.

I expected the money burning scene to take place on a mountain in the wilderness, not in a house in a fireplace. Either way, I can't complain. The show is awesome and even if details are out of place, the blonde DEA guy is a douche I just can't take seriously, etc., I still enjoy the overall performance.

So who is that hot chick in the opening song of every episode? Miss Columbia at some point I take it given her sash. Hot cakes, baby.

And yes, Elite Squad was some good flickin, too. Guy falling asleep during training, put a grenade in his hand and see if he stays awake now...

Am I the only one who was hoping Pablo's mom would take a bullet?

That is what makes it so crazy is that it is true. Pick up a copy of Mark Bowden's book "Killing Pablo".

Yeah I found it on YouTube a few mins after posting here. Great flick for sure, I liked it very much. After watching the rest of S1 Narcos, 1/2 S2, along with Elite Squad and Elite Squad: Enemy Within, I now have a basic knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.

I have no idea how accurate the book is, so, maybe, someone here can qualify it.

History Channel has a show based on Bowden's book if you want a primer.

After the last line of dialogue in Episode 10 of Season 2, it should come as no surprise that "Narcos" will be back for at least two more seasons:

The subtitles being a tiny bit off irritates me on some nitpicky level.

There are a lot of "interesting" things about this.....unfortunately they will never be told. As late as 2007, certain fed agency was still asking questions of certain people.

I watched season 1 in Medellin with my chica and you are not being nit- picky. I have seen many screwed up beyond belief sub-titles that make you go WTF??

The guy who plays Pablo is not even Colombian and his accent is not close to how people in Medellin talk.

It drives my chica crazy.. and I always wonder why they can't find Colombians to play Colombians.. Even the Colombiana is not from Colombia..

Colombia has a lot of good actors... But anyway..
