Possible terrorist attack, or organized crime/drug related? I am going with Terrorism for now.

No.....

It has to be the Clintons trying to make Duarte look bad for what he said to their privileged little Princess, Chelsea. Their retaliation for the vast right wing conspiracy that caused Her Highness to have lost the election.

In all seriousness - thoughts and prayers out to the victims and their families.

Martial law in Mindanao, getting their asses kicked, so they hit Manila. Duterte is just getting warmed up.

Looks like this was a robbery attempt. Last report I saw was that there were 36 bodies at the scene. The assailant reportedly tried making off with $115 million in chips...not sure why he thought that was a good idea. Not like they'd be worth anything once stolen.

ASG/MILF/JI are known for robberies and ransoms, so I wouldn't rule out terrorism being behind the attack; but it appears it wasn't the reason for the attack.

Still my favorite terrorist group...

Apparently the online ISIL community has been "claiming" the attack. If it was one of those groups, and I wouldn't doubt it if it was, I agree that terrorism wasn't the main goal. I would've also expected a coordinated attack vs. the single gunman.
