Two Tulsa officers shot

Late last night, a patrol sergeant and his boot (6 weeks out of the academy) stopped a car for expired tags. Driver started fighting them as they pulled him out of the car, grabbed a gun from under the seat, and shot them both, striking them each at least once in the head.

At last word, both officers are critical and "fighting for their lives." Goblin is in custody.

Officer Aurash Zarkeshan is improving somewhat, and responding to medical staff.

I misunderstood the original situation. Apparently Zarkeshan was solo and made the initial stop, and Sgt Johnson was backing. There was also a taser deployment and pepper spray. A friend of the goblin apparently picked him up to help him escape, and has been arrested and charged.

During a procession today for Sgt Johnson, three OHP motor troopers were involved in a collision and have been hospitalized in serious condition.
