Best Ranger 2018 Starts April 13, 2018

Best Ranger 2018:

The Best Ranger Competition 2018, is the 35th anniversary of this grueling competition, starring the best soldiers of the world, our United States Army, RANGERS! The Best Ranger Competition was started in 1982 after Dick Leandri found a way to honor his personal friend, Lieutenant General David E. Grange, Jr.

As an aside, there is no point of trying to differentiate "Rangers" from "Ranger-qualified" anymore. According to the promo materials, all of the competitors are Rangers. Sort of like when SOCOM starting referring to everyone as Operators.

I think that is based on the fact that the only Pre-req needed to compete is that you have a Ranger Tab. But yeah...I agree 100% with the feeling behind your statement.

I'm waiting for the hilarity that ensues when the first poser makes it into this competition. Maybe they should start a best Ranger poser competition. There are a whole lot more posers than there are Rangers in the Army.

While that would be funny, it's never going to happen as long as SRTAC tab checks every competitor prior to the comp

I figured there was a vetting process of some sort or another. I know for a fact two guys won the All-Army sniper competition that were not grads of the Army sniper school. May have happened more than once.

Where they a grad of ANY sniper school. I know some Rangers used to (maybe still do) go to USMC Scout Sniper at Quantico.
