Hell if you were to see me, the only thing that might give away my lifestyle are my tattoos. Otherwise I am a clean cut professional as are quite a few full patch members. The life is about freedom and riding hard. I don't mistake anyone on this board for being dumb, so I am not going to tell you we are out for the sainthood, but we are not like people are led to believe.

FSB, I did not mean to make it sound like it was a small thing. That many people getting killed is not a small matter. My meaning was if those bikers wanted to kill cops they would have. I am glad no one else got hurt, but if those bikers fought back the story would be entirely different. Riding through Texas OMW to Arizona and Cali, I had to stop and meet some of those boys. They don't play around and follow protocol.

Anyway, people can believe what they want or what they are fed about 1% MCs. I was just trying to give a little inside info that I am allowed. There are a ton of full patches that are great men and the lifestyle isn't all about fighting, drinking and broads.

Hopefully the incident is done and over, its shit like that which leaves a bad image on the clubs. Thank god no bystanders got hurt.
I'm pretty sure it's the dressing up and playing outlaw biker gang that gives you guys your image. Isn't that what you guys want? For people to think you're bad ass bikers? With all the tough talk I've ever heard from/about bikers, this is basically what I see. Or maybe a cross between this and a YMCA dance scene.

That makes sense, given that those two groups were in the same holding area according to one photo.

That makes no sense at all, being a "1%er" is by definition living a criminal lifestyle.

You can't have it both ways.

Much like the LEO 3 patch biker clubs.

Can you still be the "good guy" to some people living as an outlaw? It certainly worked for Pablo Escobar, but all and all, you wear a diamond 1% patch you are not a law abiding citizen.

Same thing with the injuries. Did all 18 of those reported as wounded receive gunshot wounds or were there other minor injuries that were included as well?

I suspect the police (And media) have pumped the numbers up as much as possible.

Glad none of the bystanders or responders were hurt.

I think that cops are all too quick to blanket label all members of motorcycle clubs as criminals and trash. Just as not all cops are criminals, there is a large number of them that are criminals. Cops are very quick to point out that not all cops are bad, etc, etc. Sort of the same as club members, not all are bad, and they shouldn't all be lumped together.

For what its worth, I know a number of current LEOs, like for twenty years. I also know a number of active 1%ers, also long term friendships. The 1%ers have always been more respectful around my wife and I than the LEOs.
Boldface part:
Yes, firearms, knives, brass knuckles, clubs all confiscated.

One of the local stations says the SWAT guys were on standby and arrived 5 min after the call for help, so I think turning weapons on cops and opening up would have resulted in a lot more dead 1%ers.

someone just sent me a c&p it was the bandidos mc, cossacks mc, scimitars mc, leathernecks mc, veterans mc, kottonmouths mc, los pirados mc

i think they are all three piece patch clubs . i dont think leathernecks, veterans, are 1% clubs I dont know about the others The only ones i know for sure that are 1% are the bmc and the cmc.

also he read that the CMC was cozying up to the 81 crew - anyone know anything about that?

If so that could be the issue right there......81 is relentlessly expansionist and BMC would of course want to nip any threat of a patch over in the bud.....whereas CMC/SMC would want to demonstrate worthiness/willingness to TCB.....

Is the difference between the 1% biker clubs and regular motorcycle clubs like the difference between a street gang and a tagging crew?

There is some light sarcasm there I think, but the point he and a few others are trying to make is that if you are saying that you are part of a 1% biker club, but that you are not engaged in those activities that would tag your club as an OMG, then you're really not part of that 1%. Whatever the original term meant, it has been co-opted by OMGs over the years.

There are a lot of biker clubs out there that are in it to ride, and perhaps perform some charitable work along the way, many of them even wear leathers with some sort of patching.

But they aren't doing that full patch, and aren't referring to themselves as 1%. Based on your blase comments about the violence that occurred in Waco, it sounds as if you're into more than just riding a cycle and collecting Toys for Tots.
