You sure you know him? Parvin was in 300F1 for most of '87, then got out right afterwards....(?)

The only two guys I know of that went onto higher medical schooling from A company were Ray Polk and Shawn Taylor. Polk went on to be a PA at Mountain phase and got out; in private practice in GA with a zillion kids now, Taylor is presently BN surgeon at 7th Group, trying to convince his COC why he should get a long tab and be the Army's only triple-canopy MD (he is considered mission-critical and they won't let him go). Both are great guys and fit your description; Polk was a dirty blonde and Taylor had dark hair and features. Both were six-footers. Taylor was a fellow 60-gunner.

Never knew what happened to P-P-P-P-Parvin. I liked the guy, but he smoked my ass like a Cuban cigar the day I left for hooah school.

Taylor was in 3rd platoon, weapons squad at the end.

Heya, I ran into a Nielsen a few months ago from back then. I remembered him but still can't recall which company he was in. He was a SPC and chewed up a lot of privates. He's a 1SG now, and just lost him eye in Iraq. Ran into him at Walter Reed. He seemed to be doing real good though.

Still can't remember the guys name, maybe one day...

Lost his eye more info from my little ranger buddy . He and West (1/75) reminded me that we had so much fun in ranger school . My favoret was the FL beach mission I was Right flank secutity with neilson on the 60 . As we all know there was no action on the sides so we statred a sterno fire and rosted hot dogs (mre) and watched the fire works. Joke was on me I had the exfield PL position garented fail. Love to here form him . Doc moran

You don't mean you "went to the dark side" you mean that you just got a commission after having been enlisted. Join the club.

Wrong guy. Nielsen was an E7 in 1986.

Nielsen and Walker

It's been 12-years since I posted that and don't recall Nielsen's last name. He was an E5 circa '91 or so if I recall, but could certainly be wrong. What I remember is running into him in the Savannah airport sometime prior to '98.

Also, speaking of medics anybody in contact with Frank Walker, former C Co medic? I ran into him in Afghanistan circa 2004 when he was a security contractor. He and I hung out from time to time, and he was Doc Donovan's roommate for a bit.
