Still fighting this damn cold/flu thing. Strength was okay but energy was sapped, called it a night. Final week of my 8th 5/3/1 cycle is coming up and I should make one of my big goals which was a 3 plate low bar squat. Actually, should make it no problem. Then, Montana to bird hunt and time to re-evaluate my program. At this rate I think I'll get a 405 squat before a 405 dead. Weird. We shall see.

Changing it up a bit. Going to stick to 5/3/1 for the main lifts but try 5x5@~80%5RM for assistance. 5sx10r@50-60% seemed odd to me--too much time, not enough effort, not enough gainz...

I'm liking the 5x5@80% assistance. Like boring but big, but bigger and not so boring. Squat workout tomorrow evening followed by a Montana bird hunting trip until next week, Tuesday. Montana trips always mess up my progress--I think it's the beer, not so much the fishing, hunting or missing workouts. I promise to do better this time.
