Re: Macka's post
Yeah this isn't just stupid virtue signaling anymore. It's more than that. It plays to the very nature of what leftists are. What leftists have ALWAYS been. Everyone always thinks that "oh but we're/it's different here in America!". Nothing but naïve wishful thinking from stupid rubes who think [current year] means anything at all. I'm sure 1917 was "current year" for the Russian people too. "Current year" thinking didn't save the Czar from being shot in the head and his daughters, who were also shot but still alive after the initial salvo, from being bayoneted by the death squad.

Communists/the left are not fucking playing. This is not "satire". It's not "sarcasm". These people are goddamn serious. Deadly serious. They want to kill us. It's a simple fact and not some "inflammatory rhetoric from dirtydog" again.

One report I heard, and it hasn't been confirmed, was that he had been engaging in a lot of gambling at one or more casino in Vegas, with amounts in the tens of thousands of dollars being wagered and perhaps lost. I'm sure more info is forthcoming.

If in fact he did lose a bundle to the casinos, this could be nothing more than him deciding to exact revenge in as big a way as he could, not just on the casinos but all of Las Vegas.

Pretty twisted, nonetheless.

Also, I'm surprised that many of the so called security experts are saying that in light of the tactic the shooter used in positioning himself up high in a hotel room overlooking an event that officials should now take that into consideration when they are planning, all I can say is: Really?

Whenever I'm out, either at an event or even just in an area that has highrises, part of my scan is always looking up and out, to include buildings that rise to fairly large heights. Just a habit, and I'm surprised that any of these experts wouldn't have already taken that into consideration.

I'm sure the Secret Service does when a president is in town, can't believe there wouldn't at least be some consideration of that possibility by event security personnel.

IIRC, USSS also buys out entire hotels, including those immediately adjacent to the one where POTUS resides, when he visits a location. I'm sure that varies according to the individual threat intel from various locations, but the insane security price tag by POTUS visits are nothing to sneeze at.

I also find it hard to believe that it could be just a coincidence the guy had 10 rifles in a room, likely modded with full-auto-simulating gadgets and shitloads of drum mags/etc, facing a venue he rained lead down on (along with video surveillance equipment). My Occam's razor says he knew exactly what he was doing and was blowing cash like a "high roller" because he knew he wasn't leaving that hotel. That's some serious firepower and not just one AR for 'SHTF' purposes.

Edit: ^ I mean, I'm a paranoid motherfucker and even I don't pack that kind of heat with me when I go on a trip.

My brother who lives in LV was out of town.
I learned a couple of hours ago my other brother was at the festival with his GF and her daughter. There were people near them who were hit. My brother helped get a wounded man out. I'm very proud of him for that.

Praying for the victims and their families.

I'm pretty sure they don't go that far, but they do saturate the AO with agents on both his detail and local offices, as well as LE from many departments in the city he'll be staying in.

The idea is to present as many obstacles to a threat as you can.

As for the reported gambling, I'm not sure how far in the past it occurred or the frequency and possible financial losses, if indeed it was a factor at all. Clearly this wasn't a guy who just "snapped", he spent time planning this, to include checking into a room/suite several days in advance. Probably made several trips back and forth to gather his weapons and ammo, and all of that is preserved on the casino's security camera.

The'll probably be able to trace back a lot of his movements further than that, given how pervasive the surveillance must be out there.

CBS has parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she is “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,” when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night.

I just remember there was a kerfluffle stemming from the insane security bill from when Obama went to..............India, I believe. The USSS bought out some hotels and was given as to part of the reason why the security bill was so high.

Anyway, I thanked God this morning that bitch HRC isn't POTUS now. I can't even imagine the fucking lunatic shit she'd be planning in the wake of this crap. She didn't even have her requisite morning bottle of chardonnay before she shitposted her Twatter crap about "muh deadly super scary silencers" in true Gecko45 fashion.

Perhaps they take a different tack in foreign capitals, in the states they usually reserve 3 floors, with him in the middle.

My wife worked for Caesars Entertainment for 25 years. When President Obama came here Caesars Palace gave his team an entire tower. She said upwards of 150-200 SS agents came with him. She isn't sure what was done for other President's.

For once I'm going to totally agree with your post.

Shooter's brother was on the air- no mil background, didn't know 'where he could get an automatic rifle', seemed genuinely blown away (no pun intended) that his brother was the shooter.

Also there were 2 rooms involved that he had rented- does anyone else wonder why the hotel management didn't question this?

According to reports he described himself as a 'professional gambler'- there might lie the cause...

I've booked multiple rooms many times. I doubt the two rooms would be something that would cause hotel people to look twice.

People book blocks of rooms in Las Vegas. Two next door to each other is nothing. I'm sure this has happened several times on the strip just today alone.

I have 6 kids....we always get two rooms. No one asks why.

I have an old friend, a fraternity brother, who is a caterer in Las Vegas, and has had some contracts with some celebrities. The weird shit they request, the entourage with which they travel, the bizarre "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" stuff that happens, no one will question anyone wanting two rooms.

Fox News is saying it was a two room suite and not two separate rooms. That guy knew exactly where he wanted to be.
