Chimo was absolutely correct! Land Nav and more Land Nav. I was an old SF dinosaur when I went to SFOC. My idea of Land Nav was a jeep and an ESSO road map. Boy, did I ever have a learning curve with all those Abn Inf Ranger LTs in my class.

Thanks for the add.

Did some volunteer stuff with Operation Military Kids, and ran into some of the Team 18 guys there. Piqued my interest, and I started talking to a recruiter. Swore in Dec 2018. I joined with an EOD challenge contract, went to TSC Naval Station Great Lakes, got rolled a couple times and then got non-selected at the board. Talked with a couple of the instructors there offline and decided I needed to take some time to get better, so I dropped after the non-select, got a recommendation to return and fully intend to go back. Anyway then I went to fort-lost-in-the-woods for EA school, and now I'm off to Okinawa.

Welcome. That is a good rate for when, or if you decide to get out. Make the most of it.
