Winter is here again oh Lord,
Haven't been home in a year or more
I hope she holds on a little longer
Sent a letter on a long summer day
Made of silver, not of clay
I've been runnin' down this dusty road

I've been trying to make it home
Got to make it before too long
I can't take this very much longer
I'm stranded in the sleet and rain
Don't think I'm ever gonna make it home again.

I used to shoot 7mm RUM and it was a barrel burner. I would think this would be worse than it.

LOL, factory ammo is about 4 bucks a pull.

Just picked up 10lbs of RL 25. Made just for overbore's and Weatherby's are mentioned in the load data. For know though, this is being used in my 257.

It is a very slow powder.

When you get into long bullets with large amounts of bearing surface relative to their diameter, they get very touchy. As in, change bullet jump .010 or .020 and get popped primers. I'm extrapolating from 80-90gn 5.56, 175-180gn 7mm Rem Mag and WSM and 300 Win Mag, all VLD type bullets and heavy charges of slow powders.

I read an article recently about the 26 Nosler, and they largely came to the same conclusions. I don't think 6.5-300Wby would be significantly different. Aside from very specialized 1000yd benchrest or similar, I don't see the utility of this sort of cartridge. S/F.....Ken M
