Don't ever pay for a lawyer for VA benefits. Lawyers take veterans money and do absolutely nothing to help your claim. All they do is submit the forms required and someone like me who works for the VBA investigates the claimed contention. The best thing you can do is if you know you have been seen go through your medical records and submit it as evidence that you were seen in military service for this. Sadly we do miss stuff in indiviudal records, but if you can show proof you were seen and are still having problems that shows chronic injury.
