World-wide deloyments

I know international deployments are the norm, but found this interesting. In my travels, I run into GI's all the time. Of course this graphic represents all SOF, but I though it was more interesting than the shitstorm that is our government.

My only complaint with it is that it isn't showing Jade Helm.

Seriously though, people have no concept of where the military -- much less SOF -- is operating at on a 24/7/365 basis. That's why they are never far from the thoughts of me and my family.

In the region within which I am most familiar, the color in one country surprises me, while the lack of color in another one surprises me as well.

Not that any real faith should be placed in local reporting....

Don't be concerned with no SOF in Mexico.. The Fat Guy and I are there spreading diplomacy with Johnny Walker. When we team up, you don't need no stinking ODA or Det..

It's a good thing there's SF presence Baffin Island. I hear those Inuit tribes are almost as wiley as ISIS.

Dammit, TFG, changed your damn avatar.

Once upon a time, I was invited to USSOCOM to be presented a medal for something I did near a town named Kingwood,WV. I got to see all the places SOF was back in the day, and I was frikken amazed. And this was in 94-95.

I cannot imagine the difference these days.
