Betcha 8654maine has seen a lot of things in the Emergency room, but probably never seen a man come in with a bear head attached to his leg!

Loved to have seen the look on the ER's staff on that one.

Amazing how the women no longer had to go to the bathroom...

My spouse unit and I watched some movie on HBO/Cinemax, whatever. True story about a couple hiking to some high country lake. The guy is eaten by this Black Bear & drug out of his tent. She is stalked by it until she finds safety.

I can hardly get her in a tent now unless I take the 870 tactical.

Dayuuuuummmm!!!

I hope they really cleansed those bite marks and left the sutures loose.

I bet pepper spray and little bells would have prevented this.

I blame President Trump and his continued denial of climate change. #somethingsomething!#

1. Bears are not cuddly.
2. Canines are ruthless.
3. Cats are serial killers.

Rules to live by when entering the 'Food Chain'.

Was that the one that started off with some weird Irish "guide" turning up, who turned out to be legit?

I constantly rolled my eyes during that movie. So many warnings and opportunities to turn around, but nnnnooooo.....let's ignore everything, including our gut instinct, injuries, and what we're seeing, and just get lost, and oh shit I'm going to lie here while a bear comes into my tent and eats me!

When I was able to go Deer/Elk hunting. I hunted with my 300 win. or my 270. But I carried a back, 1911A1 .45, an 4 clips . I was going down fighting if my rifles didn't do the job.

I was thinking we gotta be careful here, what with kids these days and social media...next thing you know they're all going to want a bear head attached to their leg so they can post selfies on Facepage or Twitty. May not appeal to you and I, but, still...makes about as much sense as eating Tide Pods or inhaling cinnamon, and that's popular enough to warrant public safety announcements.
