They have them, you just don't hear much but them. That's why the number of armed officers has been slowly been increasing.[/QUOTE]

Just because it hits my curiosity, why don't we hear much of it?

Not politically correct in the UK.

This. I have many Brit friends and acquaintances. Some former Brit mil. While quite a few of them would like to see the police armed and even be able to better arm themselves...a lot of them have also been brainwashed into the line of thinking that their police forces are just as effective if not more so without firearms. Arguing with some Brits over gun control and armed police is like pulling teeth. They think they know best.

Exactly. The news doesn't want to talk about the increasing numbers just like there're topics the US fake news agencies don't want to discuss.

IMO, the AFOs and SFOs aren't very effective. When you need a gun, you need it NOW, not when you can get it out of a gun safe in your vehicle or when an ARV can get to your location. This is why they keep increasing the number of AFO/SFO/ARVs annually, because the ones they have aren't effective due to response times.

Yup. This is why Muslims are referred to in the press as "Asians"......

Hmm, given the situation and history in the UK, I think issuing cut/puncture resistant body armor should be the first priority. Then work on knife defense strategies for individuals and teams.

If I were a LEO in the UK, there would be a Gladius Hispaniensis and a Scutum in the trunk. My last day on the force would the first time I used them...
