Lightbulb Spanish CDs...

I am looking for some. I know there are apps and such that do.

Just looking for a set I can put in the player and listen to on the way to work.

My vocabulary for what I do is good, and decent for talking about whatever else.

After 20 some odd years, my accent and pronunciation makes people think Im fluent, and I am not.

Think I should focus on verb conjugation and make sure the nouns pronouns, verbs adjectives, and gender agree.

I had five years of Latin between middle school and high school. That helped me.

I drank Corona's for many years. That helped me.

" La cerveza mas fina. Por favor".

About 720 moons ago I took Spanish in school, what I learned was that their are a lot of different dilates of Spanish/Mexican language. Now days there is a lot of words used or sound the same.

Go to a book store an see if they have CD's on Spanish

Good Luck.

another recommendation... try the free duolingo app on your phone..

its not going to make you fully fluent.. but its helped me brush up, keep current, etc.. I screw around with it 10-15 minutes a day, maybe 5 days a week..

Im not 2/2/2 as a result.. but I can go into a restaurant and order a meal, hail a cab, and carry on a basic conversation like a 3 or 4 year old.. (about the same as my English skills.. )...

Agreed. The wife has had a blast with Portugese, which builds on her Spanish.

I am embarrassed I have not taken any Spanish as I had 4 years Latin in prep school also...It was a bit brutal with my homework load. Caesar's Gallic wars, Cicero and Virgil's Aeneid were all interesting though!

I need to start with my Spanish CD's , I ain't getting any younger. Maybe I can be fluent by the day of my funeral!
