The class number and trident looks pretty good actually. I like it.

I like the Troy one with the idea of getting the SF crest with then either a motivational saying, significant places I worded/served, or my past three ODAs engraved underneath since it come with engraved wording if your choice.
SF Crest with ODA's would be very classy.

Finally got my XM177 to what I was first handed as an FNG at SEAL Team One. Now it's more of an M-16A1 carbine (other upper receiver was saved for a rainy day).

That is seriously cool. I need to track down a good M6-A2 clone for a coworker.

Is the gray color what they had on the originals? I seem to remember seeing some M16 rifles (or maybe I'm recalling the XM177's from Battalion) in my youth that my probably flawed memory tells me were not black, but gray? Or

I also remember the anodizing being slightly more gray than today's black.

All the rifles I remember from the late 60's on were dark grey. The black didn't arrive until the picatinny rail if my memory is working, but I may be wrong.

Didn't like the one I used, too damn LOUD. Seemed as though it was a magnet for incoming because it was so much louder than the M16. It was easier to get through the bush.
