I suspect Glock doesn't expect a lot of agency purchases for the G19X in the US, and set the blue label price higher as a result. I've noticed that with other models that aren't widely used as LE duty weapons (G34/35).

Got mine in today. Put a half mag thru it. Straight shooter, just 10 yds though. Range later on. Gotta ammo order coming in. Gonna take some bulk buying to feed this thing.

For someone in Arizona it would be approx. a 75.00 savings. I will take a 75.00 savings any day of the week.

Picked up a 19X the other day going to see what it can do later today.
I like how Glock got rid of the finger grooves always preferred the Gen 1 and 2.

Glock19X
3,300rds fired so far.
124grn factory ball and/or Federal Hydra-Shok
Holsters:
DSG, HTC, and Safariland

So far there's been a half-dozen or so shooters pull it out of the can in the back of my rig and run 3-6 mags of ball through it. Everyone so far really likes it, particularly the trigger. I've been shooting a 40rd Qual COF thru it a few time a week [124grn HS]at work when I'm not running ball thru it. It's the first 9mm pistol in as long as I can remember that I've been completely satisfied with right out of the box. Even the FDE-Finish is holding up and wearing nicely considering how much use it's already seen. I won't be cleaning it for the duration of the evaluation. It gets a shot of whatever lube we're using on the weapon system of the day, down the back rails of the slide then dropped back into a can with a dozen various gen Glock mags and a few PMags until the next day I get a chance to run it again. I get to choose to keep it or return it by Dec.1st this year.

I really like this weapon...

[Now - if it was only a single-stack 9-shot 45ACP on he same dimensions and frame...]

I bought a Gen 5 G 34 and mounted a Trijicon Dual Illum RMR. Great operation and trigger right out of the box. I want to say that I miss the finger grooves, but won't say it out loud.

They make a 9 Shot 45 caliber pistol on that frame.

Yes I really want 29x or 30x. Short slide but full size grip, with no finger grooves - coyote brown color- in 10mm and .45. As impressed as I am with the 19X , I would buy in a heartbeat.

My Glock 19X is sitting here in the box; it will probably go to the range on Sunday. I"m already thinking I want to buy a second one and send the slide off to Doug to mill for an RMR.

There is a long wishlist of products that Glock will never make, despite overwhelming customer demand. They will continue to introduce products no one expected or wanted, products that will sell regardless (G40, G19X, G41, any gun that TFG raves madly about). In my POV, the 30S is the only product Glock has released in response to commercial market demand.

What about the G 43? The G 42 and G 43 were offered in a fit of marketing genius, field test the frame and size on the lesser desired .380 and THEN give the people what they really want.

Oh, and "Get off the Grass!"

While folks are buying the G42/43, IMO no one was asking for it, in the way that folks have been clamoring for years for single-stack full-size guns in 9mm and .45 ACP (as opposed to .45 GoofyAssProjectile).

Glock likes to give folks what they want...sort of...take the G41. A lot of demand for a G21 with a slide the same width as the G30S. What do they give us? A slimmer slide on a G21 frame, but with a G34/35-length slide. Folks ask for a single stack full-size 9mm, and we get the G43. Police departments voice interest for G19/G23- or 17/22-sized pistol in .45 ACP, so that the departments don't have to buy new duty holsters...and we get the ((whatever models TFG likes chambered in an obscure .45ish caliber))...which have wider slides than their supposedly same-sized 9mm/.40 S&W models, and don't fit the holsters for the 9mm/.40S&W models. The 19X gets a pass, as that was for a military contract. The G40???

There was a dubbed video on Youtube, since taken down, "Interview With a Glock Engineer." Not only was it hilarious, it was true.

When the Shield came out and the SA super tiny pistol, the demand for Glock to reciprocate was pretty high. BUT as you said, they came out with what they felt they wanted the public to have first ( G 42) before they made the G 43.

You can bury my pistols, but will surely go to hell for blaspheming what is undeniably the finest pistol cartridge made today. And FWIW, my 45 GAP and 9mm Glocks fit interchangeably in my 2aholster.com holsters, Sooooo.......

The Glock builders/designers are not gun guys and only take so much input from Smyrna even though it controls the largest market.

So this is "kinda" like Surefire that builds brighter and more expensive lights, regardless of what the field wants or needs. It seems to me that Glock tries to use manufacturing efficiencies to produce different pistols, where Surefire just dreams shit up. Like that Wristwatch flashlight. WTF?
