That didn't take long...gun with 2x mags for $519, though shipping isn't listed for free. Still a good deal.

That is a pretty good deal. However, the ones that are more expensive shoot better . I may have to pick another one up. Thanks for the link.

Another 200rds VP9 today, no issues. More accurate than I am.

2 target - 2 round ea, say 24" transitions at 10 and 15 yds, starting from mid-low ready is about all I can do (safely, and within range policy) on the indoor range.

Keeping them inside the 10" (reactive-splatter) black at 15yds as fast as I can recover (about 7" groups pulling each group slightly 1" high/left). That should improve (to half-that) fairly quickly, with more trigger time/break-in. It's 100% me, not the sights! Slow fire = about <3" group at 15yds, all around center. So not too bad, but needs improvement to about 1/2 that. Confirms it's me rushing the shots, and not the sights.

Shot Steel Challenge this weekend for the first time with the new VP9...and LOVE this thing!

+/- 400 rounds, and never a hickup. MUCH more accurate than I am.
I just have to remember to slow down to get faster! Smooth is fast.

Recommend this pistol to anyone who needs reliability in a duty weapon and natural point type accuracy. Still working on my grip, but this rig makes it almost too easy!

As do I, great weapon and almost perfect out of the box.

If you can find a P7 then you will be cheating.

At least we finally know the difference between "regular" and "tactical."

The Tactical is stamped tactical.

Never understood the whole threaded barrel fetish?

Still no word on a .45 or 10mm model.

It's to accommodate a screw-on can.

HK pistols aren't for me. The mold is just a little to blocky in my hand, and recoil is full hammer strength. I've got a beautiful .40 that we did a commemorative engraving for the SARC community, and I rarely fire it for fun. Can't ever sell it, either, since it's got "MCNASTY" stamped on the slide lol.

That made me laugh. Just know a few folks that don't have cans. And they spend the money on a threaded barrel for a CCW weapon? The money spent on the barrel could g for a decent holster ammo etc.

I've got a few suppressors, HOWEVER, not all handgun designs work well with suppressors. I always find it interesting to see threaded barrels on weapons than are extra-finicky when suppressed.

Agree, I just don't see the reason for average person to suppress a .380 carry gun.

The threaded barrel can also be used for a compensator to reduce muzzle rise for competitive shooting. Turning a VP9 into a "race gun" sounds GREAT to me! Love this thing.

I discovered this last weekend (halfway through the match) that I suddenly couldn't hit anything...all my buddies were looking for equipment issues/lose sights, and such. WTF!

I suspected it was an eyesight issue, and sure enough when I switched glasses from pure "safety readers" to ones where I hot-glued a reader lens on the dominant side, and left the non-dominant the plain lens. Immediately got back on track.

The problem was with both eyes being behind the "reader lenses", the targets were pretty blurry, which is okay usually. But, since it was later in the day the targets had been pretty "shot up" (and not repainted)...and had became both slightly blurry (from the readers) AND slightly camouflaged from black-marks on the steel.

When I switched to the glasses with one reader/one distance...my eyes seemed to work together and allow me to see a slightly sharper target in the background, as well as sharp front sight. I know that sounds crazy...but I'm still working out the eyesight issues, that's why I had a set with a different (redneck construction/hot glued) singler reader lens to try.

Bottom line: This VP9 is more accurate than I am! I just have to work out my own vision bugs/issues. Finally got my grip worked out, now just the eyesight issues. But LOVE this VP9, and the trigger (best ever, out of the box) is only getting SMOOTHER! Another 400+/- rounds this weekend (some with a rushed/imperfect grip) and not even a hick-up!

Because of peer pressure from GPC, I picked up a VP9. Spent the day at the range and ran about 500 rounds through it. Bottom line I love it! It may replace my G19 for CCW.

Fits my hand perfectly and not one issue yet. I'll be hitting up Litepath for a new holster. Only downside is the mags are expensive and not readily available in most shops.

I think it's time for TFG to buy one!

We have one at the store and I really do not see what all the hubub is about. Its a pistol that launches a barely adequate projectile. A million dollar dress doesn't take the wrinkles out of Betty White's ass.
