Need chest rig recomendations

So im thinking about getting another chest rig. I am a civie and not looking for anything too fancy. I want something slick with a minimum of 4 AR mag pouches or something modular mainly for when I want to get back into taking carbine courses.

The two chest rigs I currently have are ok but im looking for something else:

The Gadsden Dynamics Underground Partisan chest rig (mine holds 3 AR mags and 2 pistol mags)
https://www.survivalgearsystems.com/...14039769317418

The Condor Rapid Assualt chest rig (cheap materials but I really like the layout)
https://uspatriottactical.com/condor...ult-chest-rig/

Anybody know of any quality rigs that have the Condors layout?

I am really liking the looks of this forum, great content. Thanks ahead of time for any help and/or advice.

Seriously? Just throw an extra mag in your pocket or if really want to get high speed, get a single mag pouch kydex thingy for your belt. I don't get the whole civilians running around with chest rig thing dressing all tactical-cool. Hell, just get a maxpedition shoulder bag and throw an extra mag or two, a water bottle and a first aid kit in it.

I like this SOG responder bag. It's not a chest rig but you can keep some mags and some first aid stuff in it and for only $20 it's kind of handy.

Not a chest rig, but I have a “Grab and Go” rig that I use for pistol caliber carbine that I really like.

Condor is a name I tend to stay away from. I’ve bought their stuff in the past and end up regretting it. I use the Harley Strategic chest rigs. They’re great because you can go from a chest-rig or with the correct set up (Velocity Systems swift clip) you can throw it on your plate carrier. I really like this set up because while I lay in the prone I can take off the chest rig (laying on that for hours sucks) and I still have some plate protection.

Spiritus Systems Micro Fight Rig. Buy only the parts you need, so you don’t have to pay for stuff you don’t want. It’s all piecemeal and modular.

Fair enough, but with all due respect, I disagree on some of this. I dont run camo, I dont try to appear all high speed or anything like that. I wear solidcolors and keep my gear pretty plane-Jane, last course I took my Gadsden Dynamics rig with one extra rifle and pistol mag in kydex holsters on my belt. It helps when your shooting alot, I dont even run a dump pouch I tuck in my shirt and dump the mags down my shirt.

I am a very KISS type of person when it comes to gear. I have been a "gear queer" in the past but not so much now. Also, I keep a chest rig in my trunk, and in my room close by. Although I dislike the term "prepper" I do fall into that category and again , with all due respect dont care people's opinions on that. We could argue all day on whats "necessary" but just like most other toptopics that is a matter of opinion.

Now ive expressed my opinion and you yours, I can agree to disagree here. I appreciate the response and hope I didnt ruffle any feathers here.

I have a bunch if there stuff, to include a Bank Robber chest rig. I like it. Fairly inexpensive and can hold mags water bottle comms etc. I think it would probably fit the application he is looking for.

I'm far from an expert on gear, but with the affordability of *good* steel armor, why not just go with something from AR500? Even if you don't want to spring for the plates right away, grab a carrier and add them in as money allows. The "Admin" slot (at least on the Testudo) will hold 3 AR mags (if you want, Condor makes a 3 mag insert for it for ~$20) - it's about as "slick" as you can get. I think the Testudo Light is $99 right now, and there is a tax season discount going on. Tan and Green - they even have Gray on some models.

I have paraded this around and I seem to be the only one that sees the utility. But it works.

I carry a spare pmag appendix, so a close threat will be confused when I “dig deep” in my junk for a reload. I am “prepped” as can be to die on my land; ain’t goin’ nowhere. Bail out bag is now a “run, hide, fight” bag? like the active shooter protocols being taught....
