What are the details for filing for IBS? I have been told its a sure thing?

I tried to get Lyrica for fibro but the VA didn't send it to me. I only take IBUPROFEN for my pain. I quit taking the Cymbalta.

I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. I went to a VA Gastro doc about 3 years ago or less and she diagnosed me right away with IBS. I get constipated and get diarrhea , cramps and bloating and way too much gas. The abdominal pain can be very very bad. I just got over a flare up of diverticulitus which caused alot of pain. I also had a diagnosis of IBS from a doctor at the American University in 2017. I filed a claim last spring and just got awarded 30% for IBS which gave me 80% total rating. I hope to get 100% off of my other claims that I have on appeal.
I eat greek yogurt and take Polyethelene Glycol for constipation when it comes and I plan to get some good probiotics soon.

My friend just today went to the OKC VA. His first experience. Great job they did for him, signed in, ID card, blood work etc. oh so different than it was during Vietnam.

I'm glad to hear that it went well. I am thankful to have the VA. I remember Quality Health CARE being promised when I first went in the Army and I doubt Vets in other nations have it as good as us. I have complained about my Primary Care doctor but specialty doctors have been good to me. I have had three surgeries that didn't cost me a penny and I'm thankful for that. I got most of my diagnosis from doctors at Georgetown University and the American University while I was in a Gulf War Illness study. I should of had been diagnosed by my primary care doctor than I have had for about 10 years now. I'm considering moving so I'll just not stir up any trouble right now but I could get her in trouble if I choose to.

I found out today that my claim from 2011 was denied. I won't be getting that huge backpay check after all.

Probiotics has helped me a lot there TFG. Balances the good & bad bacteria in the gut. It seems to lessen the flare ups. Mine is a prescription strength not OTC.

Read Gundry's Plant Paradox and see if that is of use in considering dietary changes and solving the gut issues.

Ill check it out. My Mom starting teaching me Appalachian plant remedies as soon as I was old enough to ramble.

Still use some to this day. You'd wouldn't believe what can grow within sight of a road side thats usable for this & that.

Ethylene glycol will keep your radiator from freezing up on a cold day. Polyethylene glycol should keep your intestines from freezing up. If you find yourself walking sideways, coughing up blood or having seizures, check the label and make sure you're taking the right one.

I got a decison letter from the VA for claims for increased headahes and Sinusitus, it said they were denied, I got that letter on Nov. 4th dated October 9th and today I got a letter saying I got a increase in headaches for 50% and 50% for sinusitus which give me a total rating of 90%. I emailed my lawyer to find out which decision letter is correct.

I don't understand how I was already at 80% and i get 50% for increase in headaches and 50% for sinusitus and it only amounts to a 10% rating increase to 90%. The claims were originally filed in 2011. I was expecting to get 100% with backpay to 2011.
