I have "enough" 9mm pistols. I have owned a few H&K's in the past and they never really spoke to me. We have one at the store that I just literally blew the dust off of yesterday.

You don't know what you are missing.

I am looking forward to checking out the SK when it comes out.

They'll most likely quickly drop to <$599 street price.

PS: Just read the VP stands for Volkspistole which translates to "people's pistol". LOL!

I have to admit, several weeks ago I got a chance to fire a VP9 that one of my students had. Fired it back to back with my Glock 17. While the VP9 is a fine made pistol and I shot well with it, for me personally I preferred the Glock 17. The way the 17 sits in the hand, the re-set and the trigger just felt better to me with the Glock 17. But, very close. Accuracy, was about the same. I can see though the attraction to the VP9.

Right now though I am leaning towards Steyr's line up of handguns being the best bang for the buck out there though. And fit better in the hand for me than the Vp9. Of course, just have to get this out there, the finest made handgun ever IMHO
, was made by HK. The Hk P7m8.

Sell all your guns, and just have one Steyr AUG and one HK P7M8 and a Glock 21 and you are all set.

I knew there was a reason I liked you. I still believe the G17 to be the best universal pistol ever made.

I now have a little over 1k rounds through mine. this reminds me that I need to clean it, all I have ever done was clear the barrel and not a misfire one, it is a good shooting pistol. going to take it to my gun smith and work the trigger over as he did wonders with my s&w mp.45c.
I need to look into a rmr as at 52 I can see the target fine but my sight picture is getting blurry.

dsgarms.com has the pistol for $625. You would just have to sign up for the Mil/LEO account. They have some great deals on several items.

VP9 #1: Just surpassed 2K rds. Not a single failure, spot on awesome

VP9 #2: Just surpassed 600 rds: not a single failure, same spot on

Gen 2 Glock 17: 8k Rounds, not a single failure

Gen 3 Glocks (19's): 1K plus, not a single failure.

I am liking the trend of the HK's compared to the Glocks, and vice-versa. I hope it continues. I look forward to picking up a VP9SK eventually.

Sootch actually has some pretty good no nonsense reviews of gear and guns. Does some good ones on various Henry lever action rifles. I like his reviews better than many others have seen out there. He is straight and to the point.

I liked it he stayed on point. Unlike a lot of You Tube folks.

I myself can't wait to see how it fits my hand. Never could get used to a G26.
