Doing night joint ops....Pave following a Hook in formation. Hook crew chief "drops trou" on the ramp....Pave pilot breaks squelch and notes that there are two moons out....Hook pilot is like, WTF???

Do you really want to have to explain all of this to everyone who asks about your tattoo? And you just might be looked at as a poser by some. It just isn't worth it, in my opinion. And you sure don't have anything to try to prove, you proved yourself already.

I had several of my buddies who stayed in CCT and, when the outfit made the change in the 80's, were going to send me one of the new red berets with the new flash. I thanked them but declined. I was in the blue berets and we didn't do half of the hard stuff the new guys go through. I didn't earn that red beret and don't want to be a poser.
