Hello from Mike Horan

Sorry I haven't been here for a bit. Been dealing with a lot lately but I think that things are working themselves out. Got a gig coming up out in Stuttgart that I am pretty excited about. Finishing up a TBI screening here at the NICOE, and I am not sure what the final verdict will be.

Shit happens. Stuttgart is just around the corner.

Greetings

Greetings SOCNET Community,

I just learned about this site through the AFSPECWAR site (formerly SpecialTactics.com). Im excited to explore the plethora of posts and deep history within these threads. I see this one alone goes back well over a decade.

About myself, I am currently a SOF Aircrew member (Airborne Mission Systems) in a Special Ops Squadron. This is a relatively new role in my Air Force career, so my focus is on developing within the AFSOC and SOCOM communities. Since day one in this new unit, it was highly apparent that my decision to take on this role was correct. Ive never been around such happy and loyal people.

Feel free to ask me any questions, and Im sure I will be asking a ton myself.

Respectfully,

AlpineLux

Hey everybody,

I’m an EDD handler, contracted in Iraq. First time contracting overseas and I’m excited to meet people in similar field or learn about other fields, or even just chat pass the time.

I served in the Marine Corp and went to college right after my term. I began contracting domestically shortly after my graduation as an engineering tech. Missed the camaraderie so I decided to try contracting.

Hope to meet some you and want to say it’s an honor to continue to serve. Thank you.

Hello all, I hope everyone is doing well and a Happy belated Mother's Day to all the mom's here.
I am an active LEO with Chicago PD and will have 31 years on the job in Dec 2019. I have worked in a variety of units: Tactical Teams, High Risk Entry Team (which is now our SWAT team), Instructor at our Academy teaching tactics and firearms for about 14 years now.
I plan on retiring in July 2020 and I'm currently in the hiring process for a PSS job in Afghanistan.

Thanks for having me
Jack

Welcome Brother. I think it is a wise move trying to gain employment somewhere a bit safer than Chicago.

Hello All,
been lurking and occasionally posting for a while now (just created a new acct).

I was a Navy ET back in the day - regular surface ship stuff (HF, UHF, Satcom) and made the transition into to working as a GS-type civilian.

I've been a few interesting places and have probably met some of the folks on this board - not that I was a High Speed Gunslinger, I was that guy with the toolbox and laptop running around Camp trying to keep my shit working.

I'm still doing tech, but now in a domestic focused agency. I do hope to be able to put the word out when we have one of our few-and-far-between job postings.
