Exclamation e-mailing me q 24h

So a customer originally e-mailed me, now 7 days ago, to ask a question.
I answered his e-mail, He ordered.

Ever since that day I get at least one but often two e-mails from him. The EXACT same e-mails from him. In fact looking at the one I just got it gives the exact time and date as the original. 13 NOV 17 and 1PM or so; Exact-same.

I also notice that those e-mails are not coming into my redundant/back-up e-mail acct. Only my primary. I ALWAYS get back-ups. Even when Primary was goofin' last week, the back-up was there.

WTF? What would cause such a thing?

I get a right smart amount of e-mails per day; customers/website data/orders in/out.

I've never seen anything like it.

(As an aside I had e-mail connection with server issues since early last week ending finally Friday evening. A soft attack of an old customer service e-mail no longer used; likely by a Chinese hacker according to my host)

Ideas or clues?
thanks in advance.

Who is the service provider? Forward me a few of them with the header data, if possible. Sometimes a setting changes after an update where you download an email, but it doesn't get deleted from the server, causing resends. This would be more than one email, however.

Send them to me, you have the addy.

Sent!

Also, once that Customers order was marked as completed. The e-mails stopped.

It looks like its the result of a business rule in some automated system, maybe paypal or some other payment system. Typically when you establish an email connection, you can choose if the emails stay on the server or are deleted. If it happens again, we can look into that.
