Please tell more stories. And, please, write it down on paper as well. I get that most of us are not wired to talk about this stuff but stories are priceless.

One of my biggest regrets is not getting my dad to write down his Vietnam stories. And the world would be a better place if Cass had written a screenplay

You are correct, I may have misjudged my audience. In light of the enthusiasm I am seeing I may try write a couple more.

I got my wife to read what I wrote, and asked for her critique. "Not good enough for a book", but she wants me to continue writing. She even showed me how to use Microsoft Word, so I don't lose any more text.

Yes, do write more. And if you want to record an oral history, that could be arranged.

Five Years to Freedom should be required reading for every kid in America.

Your wife is a smart lady but she is incorrect on this one.

No offense. My humble but accurate opinion.

There's a difference between the story and the writing. I suspect CPTAUSRET's HH-6 was referring to the latter, and not with malice.

And sir, if I can at all be of assistance in telling some of your stories, I'd be humbled.

Excellent story.

Had the honor of meeting Col. Rowe when he was the CO of the SERE school at Bragg.
