I got the stalling bit and working on the robot deal - but she doesn't seem to realize that with a couple of more bad turns she might be stuck there forever.

The officer on the main space ship mentioned there was no law there yet and it was kinda' up to him but in the new age I just don't see the death penalty as an option. Would be really off the table if she sucked up to the others - but that will never happen - she just couldn't do it.

I don't think she was initially to worried about being "stuck" on the planet they were on, as she mentioned several time how she couldn't go back to their mother ship without the robot to protect her. Once the situation changed, so did her plans.

We watched the first few episodes over the last couple nights. It's ok so far...

I am curious about the robot's memory loss and flashbacks to killing humans. Will his origin be revealed?

Sort of - at least most of the "why" gets explained. And they left a good entry into next season - if there is one.

Has Robot barked out any warnings to young Will yet?

Am enjoying it. I think it has added to the quality of the story that other survivors exist, and it's not just the Robinson family with Smith and the Robot.

Interesting that the movie is rated PG-13 and has less cussing than this tv series, which is rated PG yet has the F word.

Same here, DD. It jumps out at me as very shallow and transparent anytime I see an agenda force-fed into a show or movie.

Dr. Smith is the perfect female Loki on this show. It is a good option to watch with the whole family. Those of us to know the original show know all their attempts to escape will fail, but still entertaining. I remember the robot talking more in the original though.

I couldn’t get over the opening sequence when they are crashing and the computer is counting down feet to impact while the digital display is displaying meters to impact simultaneously. Just basic knowledge.

Just couldn’t.

We watch with our boys 13 & 11. They love it. Parker Posey is awesome as the bad guy!

Response - "..David Griffin of IGN gave the first season a rating of 8.5/10 calling it "an excellent sci-fi adventure with a slight villain problem," giving particular praise to the Robinson family, while criticizing Parker Posey's Dr. Smith as an unsophisticated and one-dimensional character that lacks redeeming qualities..."

Ah, I do believe Posey nailed her part. She's down right cold blooded compared to the old Dr Smith.
