SniperWeek 25

Registration has opened for the 25th Anniversary SniperWeek in Clearwater Florida for April 2017.

Two days of conference and two days at the range with the SniperWeek Challenge.

Participation is open only to active, certified police SWAT team and military personnel.
Competitors will consist of two-man sniper/observer teams. Single snipers will be paired up at the tournament.There is a 60 team limit. Registration deadline is March 1, or when we reach our team limit, whichever comes first. Due to space limitations, early registration is strongly advised. Spots are not confirmed, until payment is received. No-shows cannot be refunded. Substitutions are accepted.

I read the flyer and hit the homepage. Pretty basic. Want to give us a bit more of an in-depth rundown of this event? I don't personally know anybody that has attended.

Sure thing. Fortunately John McQuay did a video of last years event.

Apart from that is there anything specific that you want to know?

Guest speakers in the past have included presentations by Craig Harrison, the late Dr Martin Fackler, LTC Dave Grossman and even yours truly.

No, no specific questions. I have no intentions of attending, I'm out of the sniper game. Just thought a run down on the basics of the event would help if any other board members were curious.

Not to dog an event I havn't been to, but I wouldn't walk across the street to hear Grossman speak.

Yeah, well he's not there every year so the coast is clear.

Besides I'm sure there's no shortage of people who would say the same thing about hearing me speak.

Anyway, the courses of fire are nearly all based on real life police sniper shootings.
