Well stated. Some of us has-beens on this site may be living vicariously through you JPK. Don't disappoint.

Running will be the easy part. Pool exercises are your best bet. Practice water sprints and (above and below the surface), and rest for no more than 10 seconds in between. Get a partner to practice buddy tows. You will do this ad nauseaum, so get used to it now. Work on being relaxed in your new aquatic environment...because there are no walls to hang onto in the ocean.

Good luck.

Hello all - I am ex Navy having served back in the 1980's aboard USS Lawrence DDG4. I am in need of some counsel and insight from the SWCC community. I hope I am addressing the community in the proper place and I apologize if I am not following the format properly.
Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.

Hey guys, I'm former regular army and got out to go to school. I started researching the PMC/PSC industry in grad school and am trying to find a way into the business development/program management side.

I look forward to learning from you guys.

Welcome, but one question, if you are a "Medic" or EMT-P, why call yourself "Doctor"?

Cheers,

That includes this guy! Thank you for volunteering to keep up the mantle. Hell, living vicariously is about all I got left!!!

This site is chock full of experts of every stripe and specialty. And as you would expect, they are willing to help. One of the best pieces of advice I see given is to read more, and post less.

Welcome!

Hello guys, I'm a leo in Georgia. I've spent the last 3 years working dope and have experience in warrant service. I've been lucky enough to get some pretty decent training for a cop and have had the opportunity to learn shooting from some fantastic former military shooters. I'm here to learn and hopefully be able to add something now and then.

I have 2 good friends who are TFOs on the Atlanta task force. I've worked with them a few times. Plain clothes warrants is the best job in law enforcement period!

As you know, and many others on here, it's rewarding but very dangerous
About 3 years ago Okla lost 2 officers working warrants. My partners and I were very lucky never to lose anyone. Be safe

Hello friends?

Hello everyone,

First, i'm happy to join the SOCNET community.

This post is supposed to be a little about me, so here goes. I Joined the Army Reserves as a PV1 in November of 2005 and was enlisted up through the rank of SGT. I held two MOS's: Combat Engineer and Supply Specialist. I went into the AGR program in early 2008 and worked as a BN S4 in the 489th CA BN.

I was accepted into the Warrant Officer Flight Training Program in August of 2010. I then spent two years at Fort Rucker and was qualified in the AH-64D. After Graduation I went back into the reserves in the 8-229th AV BN out of Fort Knox, KY.

I went into the IRR about 6 months ago.

During my reserve time I worked a government contract doing Force on Force Evaluations and Aviation Inspections at Nuclear power plants around the country for the Department of Energy. (I worked my way up into that by starting out as an Armorer.)

That's about it for me without putting my whole resume on here. Regardless, i'm glad to be here.
